Episode 74: Jeep Grand Wagoneer, Ford Mach E, Subaru Outback and Tesla Cybertruck

Host Jack Nerad traveled recently to the Hudson River Valley, just north of Manhattan, to meet up with some of his old friends from Stellantis, and of course, take the new Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer for a drive

One of the biggest introductions of the year from Stellantis, the 2022 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer build on the goodwill created by the nameplates several decades ago. As part of America on the Road’s extensive coverage of the two full-size sport utilities, Host Jack Nerad interviews Mike Uhlmeyer, Stellantis’s chief engineer, on the two closely related vehicles. Uhlmayer describes how the project came together and details the things he feels give the new vehicles competitive advantages versus established favorites like the Chevrolet Tahoe and the Cadillac Escalade.

In the road test segment, Chris drove the all electric 2021 Ford Mustang Mach E in Maine. he covers all of the style, performance and comfort details driver will want to hear. And Jack took some time upon his return to California to test out the Subaru Outback Wilderness.

And in the news segment, both hosts propose possible explation as to why Tesla won’t enter the Cybertruck in the North American Truck of the Year competition.
